Experiencing the death of an Important Person is hard at any age, but it can feel especially tough when you're a teenager. Whether it’s the death of a parent, sibling, a pet, or someone else important in your life, the pain and confusion can feel overwhelming. But remember—you’re not alone in this. This section is here to help you understand your feelings and offer resources that can support you through your grief.

Emotions You Might Feel During Grief
Grief can look different for everyone, but there are some feelings that many teens experience when they are grieving. You might feel like you’re on a rollercoaster of emotions, sometimes feeling okay, and other times feeling really low or angry.
Here are some other feelings you might experience:
- Shock and Disbelief: It may feel like the loss isn’t real, or like you’re just waiting to wake up from a bad dream.
- Anger: Sometimes, you might feel angry about what happened, or frustrated that it’s happening to you.
- Sadness and Loneliness: You may feel like no one understands how much you’re hurting, or like you’re all alone in your grief.
- Changes in Relationships: Grief can make you feel distant from your friends or family, or like things just aren’t the same anymore.
